Will has done a review of Line of Fire and now I have one as well. I think is a very well acted drama. The drama is split between the crime family and the local FBI field office. While they don't interact a lot, the two worlds are bridged by an FBI special agent who is in deep undercover in the crime family. I am most impressed by David Paymer's portrayl of an unlikely, nerdish mob boss and the women of the FBI. Three actresses, Leslie Bibb, Leslie Hope and all turn in great, tough protrayls of life as agents. Each character has a balancing act to Julie Ann Emeryperform (loss of spouse in 9/11, a destructive drinking & sex problem, and a young family respectively) with their important duties. I think most surprising is Leslie Hope as the Special Agent-in-Charge of the FBI field office. When I found out that she also played Terri Bauer on the first season of 24, I was shocked. At first I didn't believe it was the same woman playing two very different roles with so much authenticity. We are only 5 or 6 episodes into this show and the world these character live in has lots of potential. I'm very curious to see where they take us.
